How We Perform Your CT Scan
Your CT scan is conducted by our experienced radiographers in a comfortable, modern imaging suite. You will lie on a motorised table that gently moves through the scanner while multiple images are captured in seconds.
For certain examinations, contrast may be required to enhance image clarity. If needed, this will be carefully administered by our trained team, with your safety and comfort as our priority.
Preparing for Your CT Scan
Preparation depends on the type of scan. As a general guide:
Some contrast scans require fasting for a few hours beforehand. Our team will confirm this when you book.
Let us know when booking if you have kidney problems, diabetes, allergies, or previous reactions to contrast.
Let us know if you are or may be pregnant.
Remove jewellery and metal items from the area being scanned. Wearing comfortable clothing without metal fastenings helps.
