How We Perform Your PRP Injection
Your procedure has two stages and is completed in a single appointment.
First, a blood sample is taken from your arm, in the same way as a standard blood test. The sample is then placed in a centrifuge, which spins it to separate the components and allow the platelet rich portion to be collected. This preparation stage takes a period of time during your appointment.
Once prepared, the injection is performed by an experienced radiologist. The skin is cleaned with antiseptic, and the needle is guided to the target under ultrasound or CT visualisation before the preparation is injected.
