Radiant Radiology provides CT guided Cervical Injections to assist in the diagnosis and management of neck pain, arm pain, and nerve-related symptoms arising from the cervical spine. Using real-time CT imaging, our radiologists guide a fine needle precisely to the intended area of the neck to deliver medication.
Cervical injections are available for patients across the Gold Coast and Logan region, with clinics in Pimpama, Ormeau, Yarrabilba, and Elanora.

Cervical injections are performed in our CT imaging suite by experienced radiologists. Injections in the neck involve delicate structures, which is why CT guidance is used to confirm precise needle placement at every stage of the procedure.
You will be positioned comfortably on the CT table, and a planning scan is used to identify the exact level and location for your injection. The skin is cleaned and numbed with local anaesthetic before a fine needle is guided to the treatment site under CT guidance. Once correct needle position is confirmed, the medication is delivered.
The procedure is minimally invasive and typically completed within a short appointment. You may be monitored briefly afterwards before returning home.
Our team will confirm your specific preparation instructions when you book. As a general guide:
Let us know when booking if you take any blood thinning medication, as your referring doctor may need to provide advice before your procedure.
Arrange a driver, as driving is not recommended for the remainder of the day after spinal injection procedures.
Wear comfortable clothing with easy access to the neck and shoulder area, as you may be asked to wear a gown.
Bring your referral and any relevant previous imaging, such as X-rays, CT, or MRI scans of your spine.
